Hatcher, Bernard Eugene, 64, of Ashland, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lee Hatcher, Sr. and Dorothy Tyler Hatcher, and his foster father, William A. Ancarrow. He is survived by his brother, Edward Lee Hatcher, Jr.; his foster mother, Maude Kelley Ancarrow; two foster sisters, Ann Ancarrow Shepardson and Mary Sue Ancarrow; also several aunts, cousins, and a niece, Ann Shepardson Love.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with burial in St. Pauls Episcopal Church Cemetery.
