Mr. Lee E. "Buck" Avery

Lee "Buck" E. Avery, of Mechanicsville, passed away in his home on March 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents; Guy and Vivian Avery, his brother; Hubert Avery and his grandson; James Avery. He is survived by his wife; Mary, daughters; Terry Barnes (Ray "The Captain"), Lisa Brooks (Dave), six grandchildren; Melissa Dockery, Adam Gray, Thomas Karnes, Amanda Adams, Haley and Dallas Miller, four great-grandchildren; Rebekah and Kevin Karnes, Nicholas Dockery and Lily Gray, sisters in law; Glenda G. Avery and Evelyn Clatterbuck (Seldon), brother in law; Ed Norford (Roxanne), niece; Diane Dowell (Kevin). Buck was also survived by many other loving family members and friends here and in New Bern, NC. Buck retired from Reynolds Metals just like his brother, Hubert and was a Veteran of the Korean War. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 19, 2012, 2 to 4pm, and 6 to 8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231, where services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11am. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, VA.
