Harold "Joe" Everhart, 65, of Williamsburg, died on January 27, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Everhart and Sarah Lipps; stepfather, Robert Lipps; and three brothers, Howard, Forest and James Everhart.
Joe was born in Winchester, VA. He worked at Kingsmill for 16 years doing maintenance on the golf course. He enjoyed woodworking and sports. Joe loved spending time with his friends and family, and they will fondly remember him as someone who was always happy.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joanne Britt; children, Harold Everhart, Jr. (Laura), Bryan Everhart; Amy Everhart, Cathy Greggs (Kevin) and Bryant Britt; grandchildren, Josh Everhart, Nicole Everhart, Ian Everhart and Caleb Greggs; brother, Donald Everhart (Sandy); sisters, Kitty Monk (Warren) and Linda Everhart; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 31, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. The service will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 1, with interment following at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
