HAM, Joseph W. Jr., went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Oakley Ham; daughter, Michelle Dahmer (Paul); son, Kevin S. Ham; two granddaughters, Samantha Peters and Taylor Ham; brothers, Edward Ham (Dorothy) and Eugene Ham; sister, Dorothy Ann Burgess (John) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe retired as a supervisor at DuPont after 30 years of service. He was a deacon and faithful member of New Bridge Baptist Church, where he grew in his walk with the Lord. Joe was a very special person to so many and we will miss him. We thank our very special support friends, our families, our church family and our neighbors for their love and prayers during Joe's battle with cancer. Dr. Rob Edwards will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. Services will be held at New Bridge Baptist Church, 5701 Elko Road, Sandston, VA 23150 on Friday, April 27 at 2 PM. Burial will be at Washington Memorial Park.
