Vincent J. Mannarino, 86, of James City County, passed away on January 31, 2012.
Vinny was born on September 14, 1925 in Bayonne, NJ and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1951. He was employed by the U.S. Department of the Army as a mechanical engineer until he retired in 1995. Following his retirement, he was employed by the Williamsburg Regional Library until 2008. In 1984, he became a resident of James City County and a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; three daughters, Lisa Luby (Steve) of Williamsburg, VA, Kathy Clarke (Michael) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Amy Spencer (Troy) of Malibu, CA; and four grandchildren, Meghan, Taraneh, Cale and Madelin.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 4 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Lane, Norge. Interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, VA on Monday, February 6 at 1:00 PM.
