Day, William "Billy" also known as "Dad", 63, of Varina, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Bill was a long time employee of Sydnor Hydro with over forty years of service. He also dutifully served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Connie J. Day; daughter, Jacqueline S. Day; son, Zackaryah T. Day; grandson, Joshua D. Gibson; two godchildren, T.J. Day and Vicki L. Beasley; two brothers, Gene Day and Tommy Day; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive loved ones and friends Friday, February 3, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA with a service to follow at 5 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is private.
